女生母亲Pham周一在Facebook帖子中写道（见下图2），Serena Duong周五离家前往位于San Jose的Yerba Buena高中，之后从未返回家中。其母亲已联系警察，并通知了所在学校、朋友等，但至今没有关于她下落任何消息。据警官Gina Tepoorten称，圣何塞警方目前暂将Serena列为离家出走（runaway)，而不是失踪人员(missing person)。Serena身高4英尺9英寸，体重约108磅，黑发，棕色眼睛。
